About Lloyd Street School
Lloyd Street School is located in East Malvern and has a positive reputation as a school which strives to cater for the individual learning needs of each student and builds positive and productive relationships with the parent body.
The current enrolment is 420 students, who generally reside in the local neighbourhood which allows for easier social connections out of school.
All students enjoy access to a highly engaging programme of inquiry, planned within the International Baccalaureate, Primary Years Programme, curriculum framework. In the key learning areas of Mathematics and English, the provision of a differentiated curriculum ensures that students have access to ‘point of need learning,’ aimed at ensuring both success and challenge for all students.
The school provides inclusive, contemporary learning resources for the students, including access to appropriate Information Communications Technology (ICT) tools in Foundation to Year 4 and a 1:1 device program in years 5 and 6.
A variety of specialist programmes form an integral part of the learning programme, with students having access to instruction in the following single subject areas: Physical Education, Performing Arts, Visual Arts, LOTE French, Philosophy and ICT. There is an extensive music programme which includes various ensemble groups, choirs and a rock band. Instrumental music and singing programmes are on offer from a range of external providers.
Additional to many music opportunities there is a broad range of extra-curricula activities on offer including coding, chess, Hebrew, tennis, soccer, jogging and netball.
Lloyd Street School is a child safe environment. Our Child Safe Policy and Responding to Child Safety/Mandatory Reporting are widely shared and applied within our community.
