When do we need to enrol for the following year?
Families who live inside the school zone are accepted at any time and start dates will be confirmed in discussion with the school.
For Foundation students, in line with new Department of Education enrolment processes across Victoria enrolments are accepted for the following year from the start of term two. Enrolments close on Jluy 28 and offers of placement and acceptance by parents are completed in August. This supports schools with planning for staffing and transition more efficiently.
Families out of the zone who wish to be considered for enrolment are advised to contact the school and meet with the Principal.
Foundation students need to be 5 by the 30th of April on their year of commencement.
Is my child ready to start school?
We regularly receive questions from parents of Foundation students asking if we think their child is ready to start school. The best person to ask about this is the Kindergarten / Early Learning Centre Teacher. All children are different and they will be able to advise you in relation to your child's readiness. Academic achievement is not a pre-requisite for school commencement. Social and emotional maturity is a much more important indicator as to whether your child is ready for school.
